Act III

" After Helmer found out that Nora forged her fathers signature .... " 

(Helmer instantly forgave Nora for her mistakes and took the blame for it )

Helmer " I forgive you , I forgive you my love " Helmer said desperately. 

Nora " NO! NO! NO! . How can you forgive me . I did something horrible . you should neglect me " Nora said with a sad look on her face ... 

Helmer grabs Nora and says "But you did it to save my life and if it wasn't for you ... I wouldn't be here  "

Nora : " I must leave you " nora said confidently  ...  " I can't do this to you and the children . They don't deserve a mother like me " 

Helmer " please Nora don't leave me and the Children . We need you " .Helmer says desperately . How are you going to survive out there ? you don't  know anything about this world " Helmer said sarcastically.. 

Nora " I must go Helmer , I am not the wife for you " Nora says while packing her clothes " 
Helmer to be honest I'm not happy with this life . For Seven years you treated me like a child and do you really think I'm that stupid ? ...Nora says sharply .. I might not know everything about the world but I'm willing to educate myself  " . 

Helmer '' How can say such a thing '' Helmer says loudly .

Nora " watch your tone . I'm no longer your wife . I DO NOT LOVE YOU ANYMORE " Nora says fiercely. "  I love Dr.Rank . He was the only one that ever understood me and actually cared about me and didn't treat me like a child " 

* Meanwhile *

( The doorbell rings ... the maid comes in and opens the door )

Maid " Hello Dr.Rank your back ?!?" 
Dr.Rank " Im here to see Nora and Helmer " 
(Dr.Rank walks in ... The maid closes the door . He blunder to the kitchen where he hears Nora and Helmer talking,  but  he stay hidden... ) 

Helmer " you love my best friend ? wow my wife loves my best friend ... what have this world come to" . helmer says angrily ...
( Helmer raises his hand to hit nora , suddenly a hand suppresses Helmer from hitting nora ) 

Dr.Rank " Don't you dare touch her again you're incompetent coward " 

Helmer " how dare you come into my house and disturb my privacy " 

Dr.Rank " I came to say one last good bye to Nora and to tell her that I will always love her " 

Nora " oh Rank take me with you I'm sure i can learn many things from you " 

Helmer " No Nora no please forgive me .. you must forgive me "

Dr.Rank " I believe in the capricious nature of fate.. Nora and I are meant to be . " Dr.Rank says happily .. 
( Nora looks at Helrmer and says .... )
Nora " I forgive you but that doesn't mean I'm staying. One last thing Helmer ..I did everything to save your life and i know I made wrong decisions on the long run . I should've told you the truth from the beginning but what is done is done, so now is time to move on .  I capable of many things Helmer . Never underestimate a woman .... Now I must go before the children wake up .. good bye " 

( Helmer is speechless by Noras action .. so he just stand there crying While Nora and Dr.Rank walk out the door ... )

Act II

Things got out of control in Act II ... Nora was going to ask a favor of Dr.Rank , but she changed her mind when Dr.Rank basically confessed his love for her .Do you think Nora would leave Helmer for  Dr.Rank ?. Anyways , Nora didn't want to lead him on. She thinks that if she asked him for money to pay off her debt he would probably think he has a chance with her ... I was blown away when I found out that Dr.Rank has feelings for Nora ,I was not expecting that since Dr.Rank and Helmer are best friends . Dr.Rank tells Nora  " The sands are running out for me "(Ibsen 191) meaning he'll die soon , and when that happens he does not want Helmer to be around . He tells nora that he thinks " Helmer's too sensitive to be able to face anything ugly " (Ibsen 1910). I think Helmer has a dark side. What do you think ? When he finds out that Nora borrowed money from krogstad and committed a crime he will turn into a totally different person.  



Mr.Linde plans to help Nora with her situation . She goes to speak with Krogstad, but when she gets there Krogstad is gone. She leaves a note telling him to meet her so they can talk ... Meanwhile Nora does anything in her power to keep Helmer distracted.She pretends to forget the whole tarantella dance.So Helmer has to teach her the dance again .What do you think will happen ?I think Nora's actions are intolerable.She needs to come clean and just tell the truth ! the whole truth about everything.I think if Nora tells Helmer the truth a miracle might happen.What if this forgery drama end up being a good thing ? I can't wait to find out .But i also think when the truth comes out Noras life will be a tumultuous disaster. I also found out in Act II that nora has come to a decision ....she wants to commit suicide. I do not agree with Noras decision. I think she can redeem herself by telling the truth and take fully responsibility for her actions. But in a way Nora is going through a lot. she's freaking out , everything that is going on is just crazy .Crazy thoughts would probably go through my mind , but not suicide.   If i was nora i would come clean and pay the consequences . what would you do ? 

Act I

Act one is finally over .I'm really excited to start reading act II . I wonder what Helmer's reaction is going to be when he finds out that  frivolous little Nora forged her fathers signature. Nora loves to  squander money . I find Nora and Helmer's relationship crazy . Helmer works and support his family and Nora take cares of the house and the children. Well now that krogstad is blackmailing nora to persuade her to try to influence Helmer on his behalf by causing her of forging her fathers signature .Do you think he'll ruin her reputation if she doesn't do what he wants ? Or he will leave her alone ? I think he probably will since he doesn't want to lose his job . I think sooner or later Helmer will find out Nora's little secret and he will feel incredulous  because Helmer sees Nora as a child . He thinks she's a little skylark , little squirrel , feather brain that would never do such a thing . At the beginning of the new year Helmer is suppose to earn a big salary . Nora must be very happy . " oh , not just what we need ! Heaps and heaps of money " - Nora . This quote pretty much represents Nora's life . 

Nora couldn't keep her secret , she had to tell someone so she told Mrs.Linde . Mrs.Linde Nora's old friend came to town  seeking for a job .Since she found out that Helmer is the new bank manager she asked Nora for help. I think she'll probably get the job , since Helmer doesn't like krogstad .. I think it's really ironic that Helmer says that krogstad ruined his reputation in the past by committing a crime . ( the same crime as Nora) .  " because an atmosphere of lies like that infects and poisons the whole life of a home " - Helmer. Nora did what she had to do to save Helmer's life . But I think she went a bit too far . There was no need to forge her dad's signature and I think she should've came clean . Why didn't she just tell Helmer how she got the money to the trip to Italy . I know helmer has his pride and he's so strict about borrowing money .I think hurting someone by telling the truth is better then hurting them by lying.  

Let's see what's going to happen next ! What will Nora do? Do you think Helmer will forgive Nora ? Or will he leave her ? Umm I can't wait to find out ...

Henrik Ibsen

Hi my name is Luciana . Most of my friends call me Lulu . I love to play soccer . I really liked reading The Alchemist this year . I think the title " A Doll's House " will be about a doll and her little house .  Henrik was born on March 20,1828 , Skien Norway . In 1868 Ibsen moved to Germany , where he wrote the play A Doll's House . He grew up in the small Norwegian Coastal town of Skien as the oldest of five children born to Knud and Marichen Ibsen . His father was a successful merchant and his mother painted , played the piano and loved to go to the theater . Ibsen also showed an interest in becoming an artist . 

Ibsen's family struggle when Ibsen was 8 because of problems with his father's business . They had to sell most of all their fortune to cover debts . The family had to move to a rundown farm near town , where Ibsen spent most of his time reading , painting and performing magic tricks . At 15 Ibsen stopped going to school and went to work to help his family . He took a job as an apprentice in an apothecary in Grimstad . he worked there for six years . Later on Ibsen moved to Christiania in 1850 to prepare for university examinations to study at the University of Christiania . He made friends  that were also writers and artistic types .  In 1891 , Ibsen returned to Norway as a literary hero .  In 1900 , Ibsen had a series of strokes that left him unable to write . Ibsen died on May 23 , 1906 . His last words were " To the contrary" .
